There once was a man named King
He hated the white and black thing,
So he spoke out and preached
His “I have a dream” speech
and soon for Blacks freedom would ring.
Martin King had a memorable Dream.
It had a non-segregational theme
“Soon all blacks and whites would have equal rights”
and with delight, his spectators would scream.
With King up there on the stand,
he said blacks and whites would hold hands
and as the crowd roared
their spirits all soared
and freedom was spread ‘cross the land.
So King left us all with a choice
we could choose to Lift Every Voice
or we could be lame
and treat others with shame.
If you choose, we all shall rejoice!
